Article: Butterfly Ring Commission

18ct yellow gold butterfly ring

Butterfly Ring Commission

We've been looking back over some our commissions and this must surely be one of our more unusual ones. A customer came to us with this concept for a set of rings based on a butterfly, which combines elements of our pave edged wedding bands and the flowing curves of our cocktail rings. Being an Architect he had a clear idea of the design and came to us with perfectly detailed technical drawings! He had designed the rings to reflect her love of butterflies & nature, combining elements of tree branches and butterfly wings in the pattern.

The set of rings comprises a gold band that can be worn everyday, along with a more flamboyantly shaped ring that can be added for special occasions. The band is decorated with pierced butterfly wing/branch patterns, and set with white diamonds along one edge and cognac along the other.

They were delighted with the outcome of the ring, as were we!
