Carved fitted rose gold wedding ring set
This carved and fitted rose gold wedding ring set was commissioned by Nicola and Nick who were married very recently. We were delighted to receive these gorgeous photos of the rings from their wedding day to share!
Nicola's rose gold fitted wedding ring is designed to match her engagement ring, which is our Wave design. It is made from 18 carat rose gold and set with a beautiful pear-shaped cognac diamond with an unusual olive hue.
David helped Nick and Nicola to refine their ideas for the wedding rings. Nicola knew that she wanted an unusual ring that could be worn as a standalone ring, without the engagement ring, from time to time. Nick wanted a simple and understated wedding band that would compliment Nicola's rings. Together they worked through ideas for the rings, deciding on a carved wedding band that would fit next to the Wave engagement ring.
David carved the ring from wax to create flowing, sculpted curves, gradually refining the form to reach the final design. It was then cast in 18 carat rose gold. The outer surfaces have been given a soft brushed finish, which contrast with the brightly polished curves of the carved detail.
The matching men's wedding band for Nick's is also made from 18 carat rose gold and given a soft brushed finish, which enhances the colour of the metal.
