16ct Fancy cut Amethyst cocktail ring set in 18ct gold.
One of the latest additions to our collection. This spectacular piece was formed around a beautiful Kreis cut amethyst and cast in 18ct yellow gold actuating the deep colour of the stone. Kreis cut gemstones are known for their ‘spectacular blend of free-form curves and dramatic geometrical cuts’ which make them an ideal partner for our designs.
The process of creating this piece begins with carving the ring from wax. Carving the ring from wax allows for the soft curves and sculptural lines to be created smoothly and instinctively. In the video below David shows us the progress of the sculpted piece. Carving from wax allows the ring to be adjusted from each angle to perfect the resulting shape. Our Arris rings are made with such fluidity that they are a delight to view from every angle. The joy of creating such a piece lies within the fact that each is perfectly unique, sculpted to envelop its exceptional stone.
